Shop Inspector IV – Podding
Location:
Savannah, GA
As the Shop Inspector for Rolls‑Royce Savannah Podding, you will ensure that all work performed complies with all applicable regulations, quality procedures (QP’s), and local work instructions (LOP’s). You will perform incoming inspections of all Powerplant modules, review related paperwork and build cards to ensure workmanship meets acceptable standards, and subsequently release the Powerplant for delivery to the customer. You will advocate and promote company policies that include product safety, safe work practices, and Rolls‑Royce values and behaviors. Knowledge of disassembly, repair, and re‑assembly of gas turbine engines and components is required.

What You Will Be Doing
Operate precision tools and equipment to perform accurate dimensional checks.
Coordinate vendor rework activities on non‑conforming materials.
Conduct audits of build documentation for accuracy and completion in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.
Track audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Perform incoming inspections on all Powerplant Modules with the ability to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
Verify all build documentation is closed in accordance with applicable requirements.
Maintain all training requirements to hold Shop Inspector stamp authority.
Act as trainer to mentor and develop inspectors and technicians within the Podding team.

Basic Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in gas turbine engine components and FAA Airframe & Power Plant License.
Associate degree with 3+ years of experience in gas turbine engine components and FAA Airframe & Power Plant License.
U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
Preferred Requirements
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in gas turbine and nacelle.
Strong leadership skills with experience.
Aviation inspection / product release experience.
Experience with Rolls‑Royce build documentation.
