Job Summary Develop instructional materials and conduct training for licensed and non‑licensed operators at the Company's nuclear power stations. An incumbent at this level should have in‑depth knowledge of instructional design theory and hold or have held an RO or SRO license, RO or SRO certification. The individual is required to participate in rigorous technical and instructional continuing training. This instructor level works on the most complex training topics and is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training in the main control room simulator, classroom, laboratory, and on‑job. This level also maintains training programs in accordance with nuclear industry, regulatory, and legal requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum of 13 years related experience.
Hold or have held an SRO license or certification.
12+ years of related experience OR;
Certified Instructor (including 5+ years of experience) OR;
RO or SRO (including 5+ years of experience) OR;
Sr Instructor Training Cert from Dominion (including 5+ years of experience).
In depth knowledge of instructional theory and design and SAT.
Excellent verbal and written communication, good personal computer skills, operate various instrumentation and controls, problem solving.
Analyze and develop training materials, train and lead others, interface with regulatory personnel and industry peers, informal leadership skills, ability to effectively communicate with regulators.
Education Requirements Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred disciplines listed above.
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description Senior Instructor Training Certification (Dominion), Certified Instructor (INPO), Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License or Certification (NRC). Must meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, Section 4.5.4. Dominion Energy minimum requirements may exceed stated ANSI standards and candidates must meet the Dominion Energy minimum requirements.
