Reporting To Regional Service Manager - South

Responsibilities

Provide demand‑field service in Process Automation Energy Industries.

Perform service in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines.

Act as the technical point of contact while delivering quality service to customers and ABB teams.

Work independently and collaboratively within the Greater Houston, TX or Lake Charles to Baton Rouge, LA area based on customer/contract requirements.

Deliver site service to ensure safe and efficient plant operation utilizing the ABB Symphony+ or 800xA Distributed Control System.

Handle all periodic, routine, preventive maintenance and shutdown support.

Troubleshoot low‑complexity tasks related to distributed control system hardware and software.

Maintain the customer database by logging calls and support provided.

Suggest ABB solutions to enhance system performance and expand the scope of value‑add service.

Communicate with site stakeholders to ensure all contracted services meet or exceed expectations.

Respond to customer questions, issues and inquiries with accuracy and timeliness.

Support projects for hardware and software upgrades, system modifications and additions.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree desired; high‑school degree and comparable military technical training acceptable.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or a special combination of education and experience.

Willingness to maintain up to 80% overnight travel.

Demonstrated commitment to excellence, effective communication, problem solving, teamwork, customer focus and a professional attitude.

Fluent English and a legal driver’s license.

U.S. work authorization and/or valid work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the U.S.
