Overview The opportunity is for a Capper Field Service Technician who will report to the Capper Field Service Leader.
Responsibilities
Perform all duties in accordance with safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safety-focused work mentality.
Set up and adjust machines, both in the field and in our Eastlake facility, to equipment specifications.
Troubleshoot and repair machinery mechanically and electronically.
Perform checks and set up of capping components for proper operation.
Perform machine audits, repairs, and preventive scheduled maintenance on Cappers; install, commission, and set up Cappers in customer facilities.
Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts and reassemble machines.
Identify and articulate root cause problem statements while troubleshooting.
Changeover and set up change parts checking clearance and timing.
Complete service reports in a timely manner (within 2 business weekdays of returning from trip).
Provide training to customers and coworkers alike.
Follow good assembly practices while performing job duties.
Travel, sometimes nights and weekends. Schedule may fluctuate due to business need/priority; any change to schedule will be provided.
Internal departmental cross‑training is an expectation.
When not traveling, work and contribute to duties onsite at any Bevcorp facility at manager's discretion to support internal operations.
Complete safety initiatives as required within JBT expectations (BBSO's, Near Misses, etc.).
Requirements for the Role
Mechanical aptitude / knowledge required.
Basic computer skills, including use of email, Word, Excel, iPad and smartphone.
Experience serving customers and working as a team to achieve success.
Valid U.S. Driver's License.
High level of dedication to safety and quality.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
Passion to deliver results on customers' needs.
Ability to adhere to all JBT values.
Ability to travel outside of the U.S.
Ability to lift, carry, move, etc., up to 50 pounds.
Travel & Location
Must reside within three hours of the Eastlake facility. When not traveling, reports to the Bevcorp facility in Eastlake, OH for maintenance support and cross‑training.
The estimated hourly pay range for this role is $28 – $35 per hour. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
