A typical Work Day May Include
Operation of packaging equipment and forklift
Input production-related data in computer systems such as SAP
Create and apply product labels in accordance with regulatory and quality standards
Collect finished product samples and perform quality testing
Monitor Bag Weights on scale
Minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
Repalletizing/disposal of distressed product
Performing required production tasks to prepare equipment for the packaging of different products and packaging types
Unloading and loading trucks/trailers and our warehouse racking system of materials, supplies, and finished product
Understanding and adhering to all safety trainings, food safety, sanitation, housekeeping, hygiene, and environmental policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
What You Will Need
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa, or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
Basic computer skills
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
What Will Put You Ahead
Prior experience in production-related work
High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
Experience operating forklifts and/or similar equipment
Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
