Manufacturing Technician - Entry Level Gloucester
Location: Gloucester, MA
Contract length: 18 months with possibility of permanent placement.
Second Shift: Monday through Thursday 3:30 pm to 2:00 am (10‑hour shifts).
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour + 10% differential, total $22.00–$24.20 per hour.
Requirements
1–2 years of non‑semiconductor manufacturing experience.
Computer savvy.
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Physical demand: 85% standing or walking.
Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and electrical/electronic systems into subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment.
Utilize routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot, repair and identify & correct errors with assistance.
Observe all safety standards and report accidents, injuries, safety hazards or emergencies promptly.
Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to test assemblies and subassemblies.
Enter data on computer terminal (progress, work expense and labor details).
May perform computer programming, repair or software installs.
Maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment; attend required safety training and follow safety and security policies.
Detail finished work; receive and audit parts to ensure required components are available; inspect parts for defects; troubleshoot and improve processes.
