Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks, including households, schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies in remote locations.
Key Job Responsibilities
Manage the program team, establish program cost, technical, and schedule baselines, and track progress toward those baselines.
Identify project critical schedule paths, establish and implement plans to avoid and recover from challenges, and ensure programs meet customer cost, technical, and schedule goals.
Collaborate with ALG product, engineering, contracts, finance, supply chain, and business development employees to support programs; work closely with the Amazon Leo commercial team to organize resources, schedule milestones, and track achievements.
Support a collaborative, analytical, fast‑paced environment and interact with highly technical cross‑functional teams.
In This Role You Will
Propose and drive adoption of improvements to the Amazon Leo program for government users.
Lead and document trade studies for intra‑team review and stakeholder buy‑in.
Deliver programs that procure satellite antennas, components, and services; lead site preparation, construction, regulatory approvals, installation, checkout, commissioning, sustainment, and performance analysis.
Create program schedule, cost, and technical baselines; define and track key program metrics; manage execution to meet those goals; manage suppliers, subcontractors, and support staff.
Work with customers and the ALG team to foster strong relationships and high customer satisfaction.
Communicate clear narratives to executive management, escalates urgent issues, and drives them to closure.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
3+ years of project management disciplines (scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management).
Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
Experience defining KPIs/SLA’s used to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
Deep understanding of satellite communications systems and components, systems engineering, and program management.
Experience executing programs to develop, field, maintain, and support SATCOM ground radio frequency antennas and components, and supporting networks.
Security Clearance US citizen required. Must currently possess and maintain an active (within the past 2 years) TS/SCI security clearance.
