Construction Inspector (PTAN)
Arcadis is seeking a Part‑time as Needed Construction Inspector to join our Construction Management Team in South Florida. The PTAN basis means hours vary with workload, offering ideal flexibility for self‑motivated professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Observe and inspect construction work performed by contractors.
Conduct punch list inspections, review drawings, specifications, submittals and recommend technical solutions.
Prepare detailed daily activity and progress reports/photos, and participate in project schedule and contractor invoice reviews.
Maintain quality assurance requirements and monitor code compliance issues.
Attend construction, safety and coordination meetings.
Document contractor resource utilization and support negotiation of field changes.
Verify equipment and materials installation for payment purposes and maintain payment quantity documentation.
Ensure Arcadis’ project safety guidelines are met.
Travel locally to project sites, client meetings, safety audits and oversight.
Required Qualifications
5 years of mechanical/civil/utility construction inspection experience.
Strong knowledge of construction inspection, QA/QC, and field management.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook).
Ability to perform mathematical calculations as needed.
Availability to work year‑round in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of civil/utility construction inspection or structural/mechanical/electrical inspection on infrastructure projects.
Certifications such as NASSCO ITCP / PACP, ACI, NICET, OSHA 10 Safety, Confined Space Entry.
Active participation in a regional or national professional association.
