We are seeking a Stormwater Design Engineer to join our Transportation team in Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity for someone who is curious, driven, and passionate about improving communities through thoughtful design.
You will tackle complex hydraulic and stormwater challenges while collaborating with talented engineers across disciplines. Whether your goal is to grow into project management or deepen your technical expertise, you will have the support, mentorship, and flexibility to make it happen.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as a project engineer and trusted technical resource on stormwater and drainage design projects
Create durable and resilient infrastructure for communities
Support or lead marketing pursuits and build client relationships
Oversee hydraulic analyses, computations, and design reports for transportation projects
Develop stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs) and pollution control measures
Design detention and retention basins and other stormwater management solutions
Prepare cost estimates, permits, and specifications for project deliverables
Use Civil 3D, InfoDrainage, HEC‑RAS, EPA SWMM, HydroCAD, and similar software to develop plans
Visit project sites and participate in client meetings as needed
A valid driver's license and some travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum two years of related experience
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
PE license is preferred or ability to obtain it in a reasonable timeframe
3+ years of experience is preferred
Familiarity with WisDOT hydraulic design standards is a plus
Experience with GIS, LID, BMP's, or sustainable stormwater design is highly desirable
