Overview The Greystone Inn is seeking a knowledgeable and hands‑on Engineer to maintain the historic charm and modern functionality of the property. The individual will be proactive, detail‑oriented, and experienced in hotel or facility maintenance, ensuring that every guest experiences comfort, safety, and seamless operations throughout their stay.
About the Role The Engineer will oversee maintenance and repair of all building systems, equipment, and guest areas. This role requires strong technical skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to preserving both the beauty and efficiency of the property.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and necessary repairs across all hotel systems.
Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems.
Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
Ensure all work complies with safety and building standards.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and service schedules.
Support property projects, renovations, and upgrades as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role within a hotel or commercial property.
Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Trade certifications or licenses preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.
