Position Summary

As a Samsung Austin Semiconductor Equipment Technician you will be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set‑up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. You will use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in‑line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. You will determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines is required.

Role And Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follow standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/processes/systems are running effectively.

Troubleshooting: Conduct failure analysis and follow scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.

Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitor equipment and processes in the current state and proactively look for ways to improve processes.

Work collaboratively in a dynamic team.

Skills And Qualifications

Any 2‑year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc); 3+ ASE certs or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience (no cert, passes test) or 4 years equivalent technical Military service.

Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation.

Experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes.

Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Familiar with TPM concepts.

Attention to detail and task‑oriented; place high value on customer service, teamwork and flexibility.

Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.

Ability to work off‑hours if necessary.

Electro‑mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics and electricity.

Night Shifts Include

B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45 pm – 7:15 am) with alternating Saturdays.

D Shift – Wednesday through Friday (6:45 pm – 7:15 pm) with alternating Saturdays.

Salary & Total Rewards The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 /hour and $60.40 /hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs.
