Job Description $3K Sign-on bonus for eligible new hires! ($1,500 paid out after 30 days and $1,500 paid out after 60 days!)

Position Summary Join our team as an Electro/Mechanical Technician and use your advanced troubleshooting skills to enhance our production equipment. Advocate for electrical safety with your deep knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 79) and advanced systems. Your expertise in PLCs, Drives, Servo, HMI, CNC, and MES integration will be crucial. Mentor other technicians and drive continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical functions, mechanical drive units, industrial hydraulics and pneumatic powers, plumbing architectures, PLCs and ladder diagrams, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and servo controllers, safety circuits including E‑stops, light curtains, floor mats, safety relays and safety switches. PC knowledge for upgrading troubleshooting and machine functions via touch screen controls and machine operation software (including G‑code & M‑code programming).

Use hand tools and machine shop equipment, proper use of all test equipment for multi‑trade repairs of production equipment, dust collection and material handling equipment (pallet lifts and forklift).

Evaluate equipment for repairs, enhancements or upgrades and complete work as needed.

Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and document finished work.

Contact vendors, order parts and keep inventory of replacement parts on hand for all equipment.

Implement machines including rigging, leveling, facilities (air, hydraulics, dust collection and safety) and testing/modifying as needed to prepare machine for production.

Fabricate and install foxture, guarding and machine parts as needed, including design, layout, sheet metal work, welding, machine shop work, carpentry and painting.

Work with management to schedule and complete requested work.

Repair pneumatic drills and screw guns, routers, saw motors and bearing assemblies for linear slides and spindles.

Assist in the deployment of TPM objectives.

Qualifications And Skills

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems related to PLC and electromechanical aspects of manufacturing equipment.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.

Ability to troubleshoot under pressure on all lines of production and prioritize repairs.

Ability to read prints including mechanical, fluid power, electrical, and building prints.

Ability to properly use testing equipment including electrical, mechanical and fluid power.

Be able to support production on your own and be self‑motivated.

Strong communication skills.

Possess excellent analytical skills and data interpretation.

Broad knowledge of PLCs and electrical principles.

Broad knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Knowledge of plumbing, machine piping, HVAC and central dust collection.

Knowledge and use of hand, power, shop tools and equipment associated with the position.

Knowledge of safety practices such as lockout/tagout and proper use of PPE.

2‑year degree or equivalent.

5 years experience in related fields preferred.

Be able to work alone as well as in a team environment.

Familiar with panel building and machine building practices and techniques.

Physical Requirements

Some heavy lifting required to replace motors, pumps, extruder screws, etc., at low frequency. Equipment is provided to move or manipulate heavy components.

Occasional squatting, crawling, reaching above shoulders, kneeling and balancing.

Requires repetitive action such as simple staring, grasping, firm grasping and fine manipulating (includes right and left hands).

Outside work required.

Working with various chemicals.

High work from ladders and platforms.

Working in confined space conditions.

Wearing the proper PPE.

Handling hazardous waste wearing the appropriate PPE.

Working near energized electric circuits.

Working near/on hot equipment/materials.

Physical Demands For Essential Functions

Ability to safely lift and carry up to 55 pounds.

Ability to safely push and/or pull up to 58 pounds of force.
