Senior Mechanical Engineer – Las Vegas, NV
We’re seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team on‑site in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and test mechanical systems for cutting‑edge electro‑optical products. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams—including Electrical, Optical, Firmware, and Manufacturing—to bring innovative concepts from design through to production.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and systems for EO products.
Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis using FEA/CFD tools.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Support system integration and testing of mechanical and electro‑optical assemblies.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
Contribute to prototype builds, reviews, and iterative development cycles.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with
5+ years of experience , or Master’s with
3+ years . A Ph.D. is a plus.
Proficient in
SolidWorks
(3D modeling) and
AutoCAD
or equivalent 2D drafting tools.
Strong experience with
FEA, CFD , and simulation tools for mechanical analysis.
Solid understanding of materials, tolerancing, and mechanical design principles.
Experience designing for
machining, additive manufacturing , or other production methods.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to also work independently.
Experience with
electro‑optical systems
or
military/aerospace R&D
projects is a strong plus.
U.S. Citizenship is required
due to the nature of our government contracts.
