Current Openings (Location): Alvarado, TX Henderson, CO Harrisburg, PA Bargersville, IN Richmond, VA As a Fleet Mechanic with MYR Group, you will use your skills to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs safely and professionally. You will have the opportunity to improve and grow toward higher-level roles in our Fleet Department, and you will be relied on to provide exceptional customer service to internal customers. Responsibilities

Essential Functions Performs mechanic assignments using independent judgment to apply procedures and practices to specific work situations. Performs a full range of servicing and repairs on various types of equipment, including malfunctioning parts and systems, in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company schedules. Mentors and provides oversight for less experienced mechanics. Performs routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Identifies mechanical problems visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. Maintains records of time and materials used on each job, equipment condition, and repairs performed. Tracks information in computer software; ensures repair orders and weekly timesheets are complete and accurate. Conducts safety inspections of equipment and prepares safety documentation. Works in accordance with DOT, EPA, Interstate Authority, OSHA, and other applicable rules and regulations. Participates in training programs; maintains and updates safety skills and knowledge; stays current with hazardous material training requirements. Regular and predictable attendance. Other duties as assigned. Essential functions are performed at a company-designed office or field location. Understands and complies with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards. Qualifications

Fleet Mechanic I Must have completed a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair OR have one year of experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair; equivalent trade school/technical school time may be applied toward this requirement. Must be capable of operating company vehicles and equipment daily; must have the ability to drive and possess proper licensing. Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Fleet Mechanic II Must have three years of experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair OR have completed a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship and have two years of experience; equivalent trade school/technical school time may be applied toward this requirement. Must be capable of operating company vehicles and equipment daily; must have the ability to drive and possess proper licensing. Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Fleet Mechanic III Must have completed a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair and have four years of experience OR five years of experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair; equivalent trade school/technical school time may be applied toward this requirement. Must be capable of operating company vehicles and equipment daily; must have the ability to drive and possess proper licensing. Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic Good teamwork skills to work effectively with coworkers Ability to communicate effectively with employees, read orders and work instructions, and make accurate entries in the daily log Basic computer or data entry skills Experience using mechanical tools, materials, and testing equipment Working knowledge of design, adjustment, operation, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment Ability to follow posted safety rules and safe operating procedures Physical Requirements

Reaching (including above head), bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting and kneeling to perform repairs and inspections; lifting - medium level work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with moderate to loud noise level, outdoors in sometimes inclement weather, or potentially difficult/hazardous conditions May be subject to hazards including proximity to moving mechanical parts and moving vehicles May be subject to vibration What We Offer

Compensation & Benefits Salary $45,000 - $70,720 /year Commensurate with experience; paid weekly. Salary ranges are posted in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on qualifications of the selected candidate. Tool/boot allowance ($250 per quarter).
