with our medical device client in Dexter, MI. This is a 3-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00/hr ; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

7am to 3pm
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker II / CNC Toolmaker to support precision manufacturing operations. This role requires a highly skilled machinist capable of working independently, programming CNC equipment, and designing fixtures to produce complex components in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Machine precision components using CNC mills and lathes
Program CNC machines (setup, editing, and optimization)
Manufacture parts from plastics, aluminum, and stainless steel
Design and fabricate custom fixtures for complex machining operations
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
Perform troubleshooting and problem‑solving related to tooling and machining processes
Maintain quality standards and adhere to safety and manufacturing procedures
Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment
Support continuous improvement initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Toolmaker or CNC Machinist
Strong experience programming and operating CNC mills and lathes
Proven ability to design and build fixtures
Experience machining plastics, aluminum, and stainless steel
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
TIG and/or MIG welding experience
Experience in medical device, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
