We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Mechanical or Structural Engineer with a PE

to join our engineering team. This hands‑on role is responsible for the design, drafting, and engineering analysis of pressure vessels and aboveground storage tanks in compliance with applicable industry codes and standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a practical understanding of fabrication, and a commitment to engineering excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and review detailed engineering calculations for pressure vessels and aboveground storage tanks.

Design and develop fabrication drawings, 3D models, and complete fabrication packages using AutoCAD and Inventor.

Prepare and review fabrication and assembly procedures to ensure compliance with ASME, API, AWWA, NFPA, and customer specifications.

Serve as a technical resource to engineers, designers, and fabrication personnel by providing guidance, mentoring, and technical problem‑solving support.

Interface with clients, inspectors, and vendors to ensure technical accuracy, quality, and code compliance.

Provide engineering support to fabrication and field teams, including design clarifications and troubleshooting.

Maintain current knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (required).

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in pressure vessel and/or aboveground storage tank design.

Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 650/653/620, AWWA D100, and NFPA standards.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and MathCAD or equivalent engineering software.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Attributes

Experience with 3D CAD workflows and parametric design tools.

Practical knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and shop operations.

Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality, code‑compliant designs.
