Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems.
Perform start up and shut down of equipment in accordance with operation’s requirements and company safety procedures.
Visually inspect and test electrical machinery and equipment.
Dismantle, inspect, and replace electrical machinery and replace defective electrical parts.
Perform lay‑outs, assemblies, installs, tests, repairs, and adjustments of electrical fixtures, apparatuses, equipment, wiring, panels, and breakers.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial control systems, including instrumentation and power distribution equipment. Perform PLC programming, troubleshooting and program documentation maintenance.
Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, schematics, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Apply electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, and principles of operation of electrical equipment.
Follow guidance from more senior level colleagues. May assist more junior level colleagues with routine questions.
Adhere to safety rules including live panel permits, arc flash safety, NEC codes, and other safety rules that govern electrical trades.
Follow the operations and company safety procedures and practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
