The Contribution You'll bring to this Role Justrite is looking for a
Maintenance Mechanic II
on second shift to set up, adjust, and maintain assigned equipment, ensuring both optimal production output and consistent quality standards. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Mechanic II will also collaborate closely with production teams to keep equipment operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
About the Team As a member of our Maintenance team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment. This dedicated team is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, addressing equipment malfunctions, and implementing solutions to improve operational efficiency. With a strong focus on safety and reliability, the Maintenance Team collaborates closely with other departments to minimize downtime and maintain a productive work environment. What You'll Do at Justrite
Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
Tests equipment to check operation. Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Tries out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime.
Examines, tests, and measures production from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records date on appropriate forms. Checks product for visual defects.
Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
Examines defects and analyzes causes and, where possible, takes corrective action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on preventive maintenance records.
Notifies supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems supplies.
Tests, analyzes and takes corrective action on electrical issues with equipment as assigned.
Performs basic electrical tasks in facility, as assigned.
Other miscellaneous duties as required by supervision.
Your Skills and Expertise
Minimum 5 years experience in an industrial maintenance related field or equivalent course work.
Must possess and demonstrate mechanical aptitude and electrical ability.
Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and ability and knowledge of gauges and measurements.
Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools and machine blue print reading.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role
High mental and visual effort required.
Ability to coordinate multi and changing priorities.
Satisfactorily pass in-company forklift driver training program.
Compensation The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $60,000 to $65,000. Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance the total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
