Production Associate As a CPI Production Associate, you will work on tasks that may include assisting operators with loading and unloading materials.

As a CPI Production Associate, you will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects, and secures the world's digital technology. Day to day, you will perform tasks that require mainly physical abilities and effort. Load and unload materials, parts, or products manually or by mechanized means. Assist the production operators. Move and transport raw materials and finished product. May assist the operators with loading machines and positioning the work.
Essential Functions
Under minimal supervision, hang fabricated parts on the conveyor paint line to engineering specifications, and prepare parts for painting. Remove parts from the line once painted.
Remove any debris from parts prior to hanging.
Determine best practice hanging methods to maximize paint quality and load density.
Inspect hooks for burn off lifecycles.
Inspect and maintain equipment for compliance with safety requirements, including all guarding. Correct any safety issues prior to operating the equipment.
Inspect coated items for paint coverage and test for coating thickness.
Perform some washer preventive maintenance tasks.
Cleans and maintains work area and equipment.
Assists and trains others to hang parts on the paint line.
Additional Functions
Continuously maintain a clean work area. Dispose of trash and production scrap. Assist in cleaning common areas.
Perform other related duties, as assigned by management.

Technical Competencies:
A minimum of one (1) year of related experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications to properly select parts.
Capable of using measuring devices as required for product inspection.
Good mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.
Good troubleshooting skills such that, after a reasonable training period, the employee will be able to evaluate operational problems of the equipment and know the proper corrective actions.
Ability to read and understand equipment operating, maintenance, and troubleshooting manuals.
Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, carrying, lifting, stooping, and crouching.
Work with fabricated metal parts, powder coated materials and cleaning chemicals.
Lift up to 40 lbs.
