Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and hands‑on Field Service Technician to join our engineering and service support teams. This role is responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining technologically advanced enforcement hardware at customer sites nationwide. Field Service Technicians are vital to the successful deployment and ongoing performance of our traffic safety solutions. This position involves frequent overnight travel and requires comfort working both independently in the field and collaboratively with in‑house technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Install and service public safety enforcement systems, including cameras, brackets, solar panels, and wiring harnesses.
Perform on‑site repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency troubleshooting.
Use test equipment, hand tools, and schematics to diagnose and correct system malfunctions.
Assemble wiring and electrical components following prints, specifications, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate inventory of parts, tools, and equipment.
Support in‑house teams by assisting with assembly and field prep activities.
Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with ISO standards and relevant safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and occasionally with customers.
Complete documentation and reports related to service visits and repairs.
Follow all company policies related to safety, data handling, and field protocols.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or trade certification preferred.
2+ years of experience in electronics, mechanical assembly, or field service.
Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Comfortable using small hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment.
Experience with basic networking and hardware configuration is a plus.
Soldering experience preferred.
