The Maintenance Mechanic position ensures optimum functionality for all plant equipment and systems by performing inspections, predictive and preventive maintenance, and repair and modification of equipment with hand and power tools. The role also identifies follow‑up work, improves facility conditions, promotes maintenance culture, and performs housekeeping, safety training, and communication meetings. Key Accountabilities

Interpret work instructions, formulate plans, and communicate effectively. Log all actions taken clearly and concisely. Perform basic arithmetic and understand measurement units. Work in temperature and humidity conditions ranging from 0 °F to 110 °F. Verify dimensions and clearances of parts using precision instruments. Complete preventive, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance. Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various mechanical components and systems. Operate a site‑related CMMS. Use standard maintenance tools and technology. Utilize welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals. Document completed work using maintenance software. Collaborate with external vendors, peers, and management for continuous improvement. Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to use or learn computer software such as Microsoft Office and maintenance software such as SAP or Maximo. Perform physical duties including bending, lifting up to 55 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting. Work overtime, including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice. Understand and communicate in English (verbal/written). Work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with PPE. Work in elevated areas (4 ft and above). Work in confined spaces. Preferred Qualifications

2 years technical degree in industrial mechanical discipline. 3 or more years of maintenance experience. Root cause analysis and continuous improvement experience, including Lean Six Sigma. Experience in the food and beverage industry. HVAC equipment experience. Production environment experience. Previous Cargill experience. MIG/TIG welding experience. CMMS operation experience.
