As a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech I – CES) at United Rentals, you'll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs on customer‑owned equipment in a safe and professional manner. Every day you can improve and challenge yourself, and with desire and ambition you can work towards higher level Tech roles in our Service Department. Like every member of our team, we rely on you to provide exceptional customer service.

What You’ll Do

Perform minor repairs, maintenance checks, and equipment cleaning

Report machine condition to Management

Demonstrate equipment for customers

Assist with loading and unloading of equipment

Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Basic knowledge of construction equipment

Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to the position

Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills

Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
