Position Summary Requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Responsibilities typically include: working under limited supervision for non‑routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations. Training, delegating, and reviewing the work of lower‑level employees. Problems are typically difficult and non‑routine but not complex.
Primary Duties
Diagnose and troubleshoot automation equipment, including PLCs and SCADA systems.
Design and implement modifications to control systems under general guidelines or independently.
Execute repairs and implement modifications to enhance safety and reduce costs.
Collaborate with management to support manufacturing operations and business continuity.
Conduct failure investigations and document findings for automation issues.
Maintain compliance with quality systems while optimizing manufacturing processes.
Conduct complex diagnostic tests and root cause analysis for system failures.
Participate in planning and executing system upgrades and expansions.
Make recommendations for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience maintaining and/or troubleshooting automated systems in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for automation systems.
Ability to work under limited supervision and handle non‑routine situations.
Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, and automation equipment.
Problem‑solving and root cause analysis for system failures.
Ability to collaborate effectively with management and cross‑functional teams.
Working Conditions
Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and similar structures.
Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
Ability to operate heavy machinery.
Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
Domestic travel required: 0%.
