Responsibilities
Act as a liaison for new construction projects, meet and coordinate with vendors, assist with technical designs and planned utility shutdowns.
Maintain construction project turnover document files, all logs, shift reports, PMs, work order closeouts, and shift service reports including online data entry. Communicate changes in operational conditions and downtime situations in a timely manner.
Maintain patient environment of care, ensure rooms meet checklist requirements, and be proactive to customer needs. Demonstrate the ability to maintain, operate, and repair all equipment.
Perform all interior environment of care maintenance: bulb, ballast, switch, and outlet replacements; plunging of toilets and sinks; nurse call repairs; repair holes in walls; painting; changing ceiling tiles; and moving furniture.
Maintain PM schedule with prescribed programmed checklist and complete PMs on time within schedule. Follow up on any additional work required as a result of the inspection promptly.
Render assistance during emergency situations. Arrive to all fire and/or emergencies within an acceptable time frame with correct equipment. Identify anything that could negatively affect the safety and well-being of others.
Requisition all parts and equipment fully and accurately. Maintain inventory on site at correct levels.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment. All work must be conducted under OSHA standards and all proper personal protective equipment.
Maintain all Joint Commission and State documentation. Respond to phone calls and messages as required.
Maintain Joint Commission Part 4 Log Book compliance.
Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Thorough knowledge of supplies, equipment, and ordering process.
Excellent mechanical aptitude.
3 to 5 years of Maintenance experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred
Previous maintenance experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Painting, plumbing, mechanical, heating/ac experience.
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
Ability to direct staff and keep projects on schedule.
Licenses And Certifications Preferred

In addition to our compensation for full‑time and part‑time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits. Minimum rate of $24.98 hourly.
