Who We Are Looking For The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee 1st shift fabrication operations in Cartersville, GA. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will manage shop floor functions to improve operational performance. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
What You'll Do
Supervise hourly manufacturing team members
Schedule and assign work tasks to meet production goals and objectives
Create and modify standardized work and ensure consistent application by all team members
Provide technical expertise in all responsible areas
Ensure products are prepared according to requirements and ready for on‑time delivery
Maintain ERP system, develop and maintain master data
Coordinate between Planning, Scheduling, and Operations to achieve KPI goals
Maintain KPI reporting and participate in Lean Daily Management activities
Track delivery metrics to ensure strong customer service
Identify and execute improvement opportunities through Kaizen and team planning
Partner with EHS/HR to investigate, resolve, and provide corrective measures for accidents, injuries, production, and personnel issues
Uphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and housekeeping practices
Maintain fair labor relations
Facilitate a teamwork‑oriented environment that promotes high self‑esteem and winning attitudes
Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years’ relevant work experience; manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Principles (preferred)
Experience with AS400 and/or JD Edwards ERP (preferred)
Lean Management experience (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience in powered‑press, plating, and/or manual packing and picking operations (preferred)
Functional knowledge of general Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and business processes
Ability to work under minimal supervision, plan workload, set priorities
Strong communication skills at all organizational levels
Flexibility for shift scheduling, including overtime and weekends when supervision is required
