We are seeking an experienced
Process Engineer
to join our optics manufacturing team. This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and sustaining advanced processes for precision optical components. You will lead process improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges, and collaborate across engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure world-class performance and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and refine manufacturing processes for optical fabrication to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
Analyze process performance using statistical tools, metrology data, and root cause analysis techniques.
Drive cost reduction and yield improvement projects while maintaining strict quality standards.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues related to optical tolerances, surface quality, and process deviations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications.
Author and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and technical reports.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured methodologies.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Optical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
Experience: 2–5 years in process engineering within a precision manufacturing environment (optics preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated success in process optimization.
Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and root cause methodologies.
Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing automation tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional projects.
Expectations
Maintain rigorous attention to detail for tight tolerances and surface quality.
Ability to extract and analyze cost-related data from the ERP system to identify discrepancies, optimize pricing strategies, and support cost-reduction initiatives.
Ensure adherence to safety and cleanliness standards in controlled environments.
Act as a technical resource for production teams, providing hands-on support and process leadership.
ITAR Requirements:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, legal permanent residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
Bonus or Equity:
This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
Pay Range:
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 70,600.00 - 117,900.00
