We are in search of an expert Conflict Analyst to join a well-respected law firm in Columbus, OH. This role is instrumental in assisting attorneys with ethical issues and identifying conflicts of interest. This position is ideal for a meticulous professional with strong legal research abilities, a customer-oriented approach, and a passion for compliance and legal ethics.
Responsibilities
Create search strategies and perform conflict checks using the firm’s internal system, such as IntappAnalyze and summarize findings for attorneys and Conflicts Counsel, suggesting resolutions for potential issues Conduct corporate research using online databases to uncover connections and affiliations Prepare engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for internal review Collaborate with various legal team members to address conflicts and find solutions Aid in maintaining client/matter records in the conflicts database Offer high-level support to attorneys and legal assistants as needed Occasionally assist outside of regular business hours Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or relevant law firm experience 1–2+ years working in a conflicts department at a medium to large law firm Knowledge of legal ethics and professional responsibility rules regarding conflicts Proficiency with Intapp or similar conflicts software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Attentive to detail and strong critical thinking abilities Capable of translating complex research into actionable guidance Gables Search Group
