Work Arrangement This role offers a hybrid work arrangement: three days per week in the office and two days remote.
Responsibilities
Utilize and expand drafting skills while working in a multi‑disciplined team environment, preparing design drawings based on design input.
Apply computer‑aided drafting skills and receive hands‑on training in 3D design software such as AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation.
Create drawings to scale showing the relationship of proposed installations to existing facilities, including exact specifications and dimensions.
Accompany and assist experienced designers on walk‑downs at client facilities to gather information for design projects.
Interface with vendors and construction contractors, explaining drawings so that appropriate design adjustments can be made.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in drafting or a high‑school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
Six (6) or more years of physical design experience, including grounding layouts, underground duct bank, embedded conduit drawings, cable tray, exposed conduit layouts, and electrical equipment location drawings.
Advanced drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation).
Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid.
Ability to multi‑task from project to project.
Valued (but Not Required) Skills
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.

Compensation Range $58,930.00 – $87,460.00
