Overview Our client is a leading renewable energy company seeking a Field Service Technician to join their solar operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for entry‑level technicians to gain hands‑on experience in the growing solar energy industry while working on cutting‑edge renewable energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
Install equipment in support of network and customer requirements
Maintain site security and cleanliness standards
Oversee contractors for maintenance, repair, and restoration of components
Troubleshoot technical issues and replace defective modules
Track spare parts inventory and maintain accurate records
Perform preventative maintenance on solar equipment
Maintain technical documentation and service records
Vegetation management including herbicide application and mowing
Service equipment and tow trailers as needed
Work with fiber optic transmission equipment and telecommunications systems
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
0-5 years of field service experience
Ability to read service orders and basic circuit diagrams
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Knowledge of personal computers and common software
Understanding of Sonet and Ethernet systems preferred
Must pass NERC CIP background screening
