Production Manager – Denton, TX This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a

Production Manager

located in

Denton, TX . The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day production operations, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met, and coordinating staff to maintain efficiency on a refrigerated floor. The Production Manager will handle production planning, supervise staff, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining clear and effective communication with team members and management.

Schedule : 2‑2‑3 shift with alternating weekends (Week 1: Mon/Tue working, Wed/Thu off, Fri/Sat/Sun working; Week 2: Mon/Tue off, Wed/Thu working, Fri/Sat/Sun off). Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required.

What You’ll Do

Oversee and supervise the Meat Room production hourly team members, providing support in safety, quality, productivity, cost and engagement.

Manage set‑up of ingredients, equipment, and machine operation; process WIP through the Meat Room to ensure maximum production, quantity and quality.

Lead a team and facilitate the organization’s strategy for cultivating a fully engaged workforce through training, coaching, engagement and motivation.

Communicate company policies to hourly team members and train them in standard work practices and procedures for safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Interpret specifications and work orders, assign duties based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of team members.

Provide performance oversight, safety monitoring, constructive feedback, and manage performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.

Develop production plans and procedures while driving performance by establishing daily, weekly and monthly goals to meet internal and external customer needs.

Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment, troubleshoot issues that arise.

Hire, train, coach and review performance of team members with Operations leadership and Human Resources for recruitment, corrective actions and terminations.

Other related responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of production supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.

2+ years’ experience in a meat processing facility (highly preferred).

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate hourly production teams in fast‑paced manufacturing.

Proven experience building accountability, engagement and teamwork while maintaining a respectful and safety‑focused culture.

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.

Knowledge of machine operations, meat processing machinery, 5S, lean manufacturing.

Problem solver who can initiate and implement solutions to daily operational issues.

Good math skills and ability to analyze production activities to achieve production goals.

Adherence to and enforcement of GMPs, PPEs and other protocols for safety and efficiency of the production floor.

Qualifications

Strong supervisory skills to lead and manage teams effectively.

Proficiency in managing production schedules and planning.

Experience in production management practices and processes.

Excellent communication skills for conveying information clearly and collaborating with the team.

Commitment to safety regulations and quality standards.

Problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in food production preferred.

Experience in pet food production or food manufacturing is an advantage.

Compensation Range $90K - $100K+
