Job Description
We are seeking a full-time experienced Senior Staff Accountant to manage accounting operations and financial reporting in Douglas, AZ. This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information, overseeing month-end close, and ensuring accurate, compliant financial reporting. Experience in healthcare or community health environments is a plus.
Responsibilities
Manage general accounting functions, including full-charge bookkeeping through month-end close
Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Analyze financial data, identify trends, and resolve variances
Oversee preparation of internal and external financial reports
Support audits and respond to financial inquiries
Maintain accurate accounting records and improve accounting processes
Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting and financial reporting needs
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $57,203 – $85,805 per year (DOE)

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
8+ years of general accounting experience, including full-charge bookkeeping and financial statement preparation
Expert knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, graphs, data analysis)
Experience with accounting software; Peachtree and NextGen preferred
Computer literacy with strong attention to detail
Knowledge of community health centers or healthcare organizations preferred
Experience with reportwriter software, programming, and Adobe Standard strongly preferred
