Demonstrate professionalism, integrity and embody the credit union’s core values in all interactions. Interactions include account transaction processing, account opening, account closing, account research, answering member questions and providing accurate information about credit union products and services.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a clear understanding of credit union products and services to confidently discuss members’ financial needs and cross‑sell appropriate solutions.

Be proficient in all teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments (including Visa), cashier’s checks, and wire transfers. Apply correct procedures for opening and closing accounts, understand IRA rules, and achieve vault‑management cross‑training.

Actively listen to members’ needs and offer solutions for overcoming financial challenges or achieving financial goals, utilizing credit union loan and deposit products. Refer beyond‑authority issues to supervisors with recommendations.

Make decisions that align with the credit union’s core values while adhering to policies and procedures.

Develop understanding of the credit union’s history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, policies, procedures and relevant software systems. Perform all other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience: One to twelve months of similar or related experience.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Interpersonal skills: Extensive personal contact with others, ability to influence and sell ideas or services.

Other skills: Good computer and communication skills.

Physical requirements: Ability to perform typical teller work (standing, lifting, etc.).
