This position will serve Birmingham, AL and surrounding areas. Daily travel to stores within assigned areas to conduct physical inventories of store merchandise using a handheld scanner. Upon completion of the audit, work with the Store Managers to review audit results and communicate observations to the Audit Supervisor and Operations Management. Hours: 5:30 am - until M-F.
Responsibilities
Verify merchandise and cash in each Circle K Company store by conducting a physical count using a handheld computer.
Notify store managers of wrong prices and pull out-of-code merchandise.
Count and verify cash assets on site.
Verify money orders, lottery tickets inventory and bank deposits.
Verify gasoline inventory.
Perform surveys to verify compliance with operational and financial procedures.
Work in a safe manner by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Work independently with little supervision.
Perform multi-tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Requires 1 year of inventory auditing experience or retail experience in a convenience store environment.
Must have a valid driver’s license with no major offenses and current liability car insurance.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit, talk and/or hear. Frequently required to use hands to handle or grasp items. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with both hands and arms. Routinely required to lift items that may weigh up to 25 lbs.
