Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Audio-Visual (AV) Consultant with 5-10 years of industry expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AV design, integration, and consulting services. They will collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver cutting-edge AV solutions that enhance communication, collaboration, and productivity in various environments.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their AV requirements, goals, and budget constraints.

Develop comprehensive AV design proposals, including system layouts, equipment specifications, and budget estimates.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and interior designers to integrate AV systems seamlessly into building designs.

Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify technical requirements, infrastructure needs, and potential challenges.

Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to installation and commissioning.

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to procure AV equipment and services within project timelines and budgetary constraints.

Conduct quality assurance checks and performance testing to ensure the proper functioning and reliability of installed AV systems.

Provide training and support to end-users on the operation and maintenance of AV systems.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AV design and integration.

Act as a subject matter expert on AV solutions, providing guidance and recommendations to internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Audio Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or industry certifications are a plus.

Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in AV design, integration, and consulting, preferably within a multi-discipline engineering firm or AV consultancy.

Proficiency in AV design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.

Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, including audio/video conferencing, digital signage, control systems, and networking protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Familiarity with California building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to AV systems design and installation.
