Our Client is a Northern Nevada CPA firm serving clients for more than two decades and has an excellent opportunity for a CPAinterested in future equity ownership of a their firm. They are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to help lead and manage multiple operations of their practice area and to deliver quality services, that will be in line with the firm's reputation.
Your role will be to prepare and review a wide range of tax returns, assist clients with year-round planning, and work alongside a team of seasoned professionals invested in your success. What the Tax Preparer will do:
Perform diversified accounting, and tax assignments under the direction of a supervisor, manager or partner
Preparation of complex tax returns (individual, corporate and partnership returns)
Ability to analyze tax issues and come to conclusions
Prepare quarterly and year-end estimates to assist clients with tax planning
Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards
Meet time constraints and manage client deadlines
Participate in firm training courses as required
Provide excellent client service by producing quality work, quick turnaround and attentive service
Support responses to IRS and Department of Taxation inquiries
Collaborate with partners and staff on complex tax engagements
What the ideal candidate needs to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is required
5+ years' recent/current experience in public accounting and tax preparation
Knowledge of tax software and MS Office
In-depth tax knowledge at the local, state and federal levels
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and remain organized
Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain a professional demeanor
