JOB SUMMARY Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino only 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD! Have fun in the sun while pursuing an exciting career in the casino industry. Work with an awesome team while ensuring a good time for our guests. This is a full time, year around position with an excellent compensation package. This includes medical, paid sick time, paid vacation time, paid personal time, holiday pay and 401k options. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication.
Acts as a role model and coaches while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
Conducts interviews with employee candidates.
Recommends and documents appropriate discipline as necessary.
Responsible for supervision, evaluation and training of staff.
Ensures compliance with State Lottery Regulations, Internal Controls and company Policies & Procedures.
Responsible for efficient performance of company accounting, auditing and procedural functions.
Responsible for control of slot accounting records and reports.
Coordinates and prepares all reports and submissions of auditing process.
Supervises all revenue documentation and resulting entries into financial system.
Promotes outstanding customer relations.
Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Three (3) to Five (5) Years in Accounting or Auditing; gaming experience preferred.
Knowledge of a casino slot accounting system.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming establishment employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration Preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
