Finance Manager

Position is based at the Eventide Home Office in Moorhead, MN and supports the finance department across multiple campuses.
Position Overview Provide financial information to management, research and analyze accounting data, and manage day‑to‑day finance operations.
Essential Functions
Review, monitor and process a variety of fiscal transactions.
Prepare and enter monthly journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Balance and reconcile general ledger accounts including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash, and intercompany payables/receivables.
Assist with preparation of monthly workpapers, annual audit information, cost reports, and Form 990 filings.
Review and distribute financial statements.
Prepare and file monthly/quarterly sales tax filings.
Review bank accounts and daily cash flow.
Maintain general ledger activity and prepare financial statements for two joint‑venture entities.
Payroll Support
Act as backup to the payroll coordinator.
Pull bi‑weekly payroll data reports for import to the general ledger.
Accounts Payable
Reconcile entries and compare general ledger reports and balances.
Verify proper coding of invoices.
Ensure timely payment and approval of invoices.
Lead the 1099 filing at year end.
Accounts Receivable
Reconcile revenue and cash entries to the general ledger.
Review accounts‑receivable aging with coordinators and campus leadership.
Maintain accounts‑receivable days outstanding below 90 days.
Management
Manage daily activities of the finance team (4–6 employees).
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (preferred).
7–10 years of accounting work experience (preferred).
1–3 years of management experience (preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid Excel skills and experience with automated accounting systems.
Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
Compensation and Benefits Competitive starting pay of $85,000 annually, with shift premiums/differentials as applicable. Comprehensive benefits include health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 403(b) with employer match, paid time off, and additional perks.
