Qualifications:
Excellent accounting knowledge
Excellent organization skills with high level of attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to transfer knowledge to junior level staff
Excellent ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Excellent to analyze and resolve difficult issues
Excellent ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Excellent computer proficiency and technical aptitude with intermediate to expert level ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, etc. required
Ability to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent preferred
5+ years of Project Accounting experience preferred
Experience in construction preferred
*Candidates must have Lump sum billing experience and Cost-plus / GMP in a construction environment along with experience with Certificate of Insurance, Lien Waivers, Bonds, et al
Job Description:
Compiles, prepares and analyzes monthly project billings per contract requirements.
Performs financial analysis and reconciliation of project costs versus project budget.
Manages vendor compliance, insurance, lien waivers, retention and W-9s
Produces and analyzes job performance and profitability through jobs cost tracking reports.
Assists in preparation of status reports and maintains accurate project statuses and budget information in COINs.
Identifies and resolves basic and more complex project-related accounting issues and resolves in a timely manner.
