Our client — a respected provider of HR, risk management, and payroll services — is seeking a
Senior Accountant
to drive financial accuracy, compliance, and insight within their expanding insurance division.
The Opportunity In this role, you’ll go beyond reporting numbers — you’ll shape the company’s financial integrity. Working with both STAT and GAAP standards, you’ll analyze complex data, strengthen controls, and partner with leadership to enhance efficiency and decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze journal entries, general ledger accounts, and financial statements.
Record earned, assumed, and ceded premiums accurately.
Complete NAIC filings and reinsurance settlement statements.
Manage multi‑state premium tax filings and reconciliations.
Conduct variance and trend analyses to inform business strategy.
Ensure full GAAP and SAP compliance and drive process improvements.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
4+ years of accounting experience (including 2+ years insurance and 2+ years statutory).
Advanced Excel skills; experience with QuickBooks, APL, or Clearwater Analytics a plus.
Strong analytical, detail‑oriented, and communication skills.
LOMA or similar insurance credentials preferred.
