The Certified Ophthalmology Assistant role assists the Ophthalmologists by obtaining medical records, performing preliminary eye function testing and explaining medications and procedures to patients.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.

License/Certifications: Completion of the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel Ophthalmology Certified Ophthalmic Assistant requirements within 24 months of start date required.
