Associa's Human Resources team is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing organization. We are committed to fostering a productive, inclusive, and growth‑oriented work environment. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities within the Human Resources function, with a focus on employee relations and operational HR support. The position reports to the regionally local HR Manager/HR Business Partner and does not include supervisory responsibilities. This role will support 500+ employees across three corporate branch locations. The position is primarily onsite, within a flexible, team‑oriented environment. After the introductory period, there is the opportunity to work remotely one day per week. The position also requires regular onsite presence at our Chantilly, VA and Falls Church, VA offices, with occasional travel up to quarterly to our Maryland and Delaware branch locations. Responsibilities

Conduct and manage new‑hire onboarding and orientation programs Support the HR Manager/HR Business Partner with employee relations, including addressing employee concerns, assisting with employee investigations, and guiding managers on consistent application of company policies and procedures Support and administer leave of absences, including FMLA, personal leaves, and workers' compensation Work with recruiting to obtain updates throughout the hiring process Complete and submit employer responses to unemployment claims Assist with HR projects such as employee engagement initiatives, benefits open enrollment, employee communications, and company‑wide meetings Answer employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and practices Provide payroll administrative support Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned within the scope and responsibilities of the role Requirements

Working knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, and best practices Experience or foundational knowledge in employee relations, leave administration (FMLA), unemployment claims, and workers' compensation Ability to handle sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion Strong organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills in a fast‑paced environment Self‑motivated, proactive, detail‑oriented, and collaborative team player Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) Bachelor's degree preferred Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of directly related or closely related HR experience, with strong exposure to employee relations Human Resources experience in real estate, hospitality, and/or hotel management a plus Seniority Level
