Overview Accounts Receivable Specialist
Position Summary The Accounts Receivable Specialist is accountable for daily operational tasks associated with revenue cycle accounts receivable. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for follow‑up and timely and effectively managing requests from patients, insurance primary, secondary, and tertiary payers, clearing hours, and preparing all appeals and resolving all upfront edits and denials. Routinely monitors and processes monthly write‑offs, charge corrections and reconciliation of claim files for assigned area of responsibility.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years' insurance claims or medical billing experience required.
Diploma/Certification in medical Insurance Billing and Coding, in lieu of the years of experience.
Epic strongly preferred.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
