Position Overview The HR Coordinator provides day‑to‑day administrative support to the HR team, drives special projects, and is the first point of contact for employees. Success in this role requires strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills, a dedication to confidentiality, adaptability, and a commitment to customer‑service excellence.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement data, files, and processing within the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, termination, and status changes.
Process employee and vendor credentials such as employment, background checks, and educational verifications.
Encourage participation in HR‑sponsored activities (engagement surveys, learning events, well‑being events).
Ensure new‑hire paperwork is completed, processed, and maintained in a timely manner and perform I‑9 verifications using UKG.
Process all Change of Status forms for US locations.
Process all separations for US locations (termination packets, offboarding emails, exit interviews, term in all systems).
Work with HR leaders to provide data and respond to internal or external audit requests urgently.
Create and maintain various HR‑related files.
Respond to first‑line employee questions using knowledge of HR policies, programs, guidelines, and employment law; refer to or seek subject matter experts for complex questions.
Utilize HRIS reporting tools to create routine and ad‑hoc reports; use office software to track changes.
Process departmental purchase orders and invoice processing as needed (Benefits Invoices, HR related invoices).
Track and perform employee lab testing requirements in accordance with OSHA and file related documentation in employee OSHA files.
Verify employment via email & phone.
Support various general or specialized HR programs and initiatives as needed.
Participate in HR‑related special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, and/or equivalent experience preferred.
1–2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
Basic knowledge of employment laws and practices preferred.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication for presenting orally or in writing to all levels.
Ability to maintain high confidentiality, diplomacy, and discretion.
