What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and experienced property tax professional to join our Global Tax Department. The Staff Property Tax Analyst will play a critical role within the property tax team, enhancing expertise across the finance organization. This position is integral to a collaborative team tasked with managing all facets of Tesla's property tax functions. What You'll Do
Manage annual property tax compliance across the U.S., handling a range of accounts from high-volume small returns to complex returns for multi-billion dollar manufacturing sites
Review assessment notices to identify errors and opportunities for appeals
Process and reconcile assessment notices and tax bills using OPT property tax software
Respond to, manage, and complete property tax audits
Support the tax team in automation initiatives and process improvement projects
Provide property tax forecasts and implications to other teams within Tesla
Assist in managing exemptions, pilot agreements, and various incentive agreements
What You'll Bring
Degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of property tax experience, with 10+ years of total professional experience
Experience with property tax software, OPT (formerly OneSource) preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel
Comfortable with technology and learning new software and tools
