Position Summary The New Product Introduction (NPI) Cell Lead II will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and leading the activities of a cellular work team in support of assigned goals and objectives in a product development environment on 2nd shift. The Cell Leader II will manage employee time, approve time transactions in the ADP system, and will create performance‑related goals and partner with the 1st shift team to increase capacity and output for NPI. As the NPI Cell Lead this individual will also provide indirect leadership support for other NPI 2nd shift personnel with respect to escalations and coordination of NPI communication. Work assignments, training, development and time‑card management will be the continued responsibility of the direct supervisor.

Shift Available 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm–10:30 pm Monday‑Friday

Responsibilities

Ability to work in a flexible and dynamic product development and manufacturing environment

Execute to the NPI schedule

Provide indirect 2nd shift leadership for other NPI functions (2nd floor tool room & 1st Metrology Lab) for escalations. Does not include work assignments and timecards for these areas.

Assign employees to run equipment and jobs

Ensure the area has the materials and supplies to meet the varied development needs

Ensure jobs are completed and meet quality standards and are on time

Ensure machinery and equipment is running efficiently and effectively

Provide employees on‑the‑job training and mentoring

Ensure employees are following work instructions and processes

Provide daily updates through the NPI Tier I process

Communicate product development issues, schedules, and priorities within and between teams

Implement process improvements & participate in the Operational Excellence Program

Create employee goals, performance initiatives and areas of accountability that are directly aligned with the goals of the company

Ensure employees are following company guidelines, policies, and procedures

Utilize the manufacturing ERP systems for product development

Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements

Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work

Participate in required company meetings

Maintain an organized work area (5S)

Complete all other work duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

3 years of supervisory experience

7 years of experience in manufacturing operations

Knowledge of manufacturing machinery, equipment, and processes

Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements

Ability to manage relationships and team facilitation

Strong attention to detail

Strong problem‑solving skills

Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks

Ability to take direction from and give input to the next level leader

Ability to collaborate and assist team members

Ability to cross‑train in other areas of production when required

Preferred Requirements

Business/technical degree

Medical manufacturing experience

Familiar with ISO and FDA requirements

Certifications in a related field

Pay Range USD $24.66 – $30.19 /Yr.
