The Opportunity Based out of the Cockeysville, MD office, this Human Resources Generalist will support the development, training, and ongoing education of agency staff across the Maury, Donnelly, & Parr, Inc enterprise. Under the guidance of the Vice President of Human Resources, this individual will provide comprehensive support across various HR functions, including HRIS management, compliance functions, benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, and ad hoc projects to deliver effective HR services.
This position is considered full-time, in-person for the first 90 days and then there is opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive guidance and support to employees on a range of topics, including benefits, compensation, and policy interpretation.
Manage HR systems, timeout system, and personnel files ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all employee records.
Ensure compliance by performing audits, completing government reporting, and working with a vendor to keep all company insurance and business licenses current.
Support benefits administration tasks, including enrollment, claims issues, policy interpretation, 401k processing, record-keeping, and communication with brokers and employees.
Facilitate employee engagement by conducting surveys, executing recognition programs, and other life events.
Assist with onboarding of new employees through orientations, benefits enrollment, and other support as needed.
Perform other duties related to HR generalist responsibilities as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the department.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BA) in human resources management or two to three years of related experience and/or training as a generalist, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
Possess some understanding of employment laws (e.g., COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, ACA, HIPAA, FLSA, etc.) to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local jurisdictions.

Pay Range
$65,000 - $75,000

A reasonable estimate of the current range is presented within this posting.
