What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Coordinate and maintain the Credentialing and Reappointment processes for Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals
Administer and maintain comprehensive practitioner database files and other records with a focus on integrity and completeness
Execute the privileging process in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws and regulatory guidelines
Provide administrative and technical support to the Medical Staff credentials committee
Prepare confidential memoranda, reports, and other correspondence for the department
What is Required (Qualifications)
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management or Healthcare Administration
3-5 years of experience in Credentialing
Significant knowledge of State regulatory requirements and accreditation standards including TJC, NCQA, AAAHC, and CMSProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain excellent customer service skills under stressful conditions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with improving processes and workflow for better efficiency
Ability to type at least 55 words per minute with minimal errors
Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills
