Crisis Assessment Specialist - Crisis Center - Full Time - Nights
The Crisis Assessment Specialist provides emergency behavioral health pre-screening, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and referral management to patients and their families. The position assists patients and families in understanding and coping with behavioral crises and facilitates appropriate transition or admission planning for patients requiring placement in behavioral health treatment facilities or programs. The role collaborates interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct emergency behavioral health pre-screening and psychosocial assessments.
Provide crisis intervention and manage referrals.
Assist families in resolving complex personal and environmental difficulties that interfere with effective social functioning.
Facilitate appropriate transition or admission planning to behavioral health treatment facilities or programs.
Collaborate interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital.
Job Specifics
Full time, 36 hours per week.
3 (12) hour shifts, 8:00 PM – 8:30 AM.
Eligible for shift differential and benefits.
CPR certification preferred, not required.
Location: Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness.
Department: Behavioral Crisis Services.
Education Requirements Masters: Counseling (Required); Masters: Social Work (Required).
Certification/License Requirements
LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor.
LSW Ohio – Ohio Licensed Social Worker.
