Summary: Our company is growing rapidly and is looking to fill the role of

Property Accountant,

who has passion for property management and real estate transactions. The Property Accountant will primarily function as the day-to-day accountant for the company’s headquarter office building and manufacturing facilities located across the U.S. Additionally, provide support for all real estate transactions including purchases, sales, leasing, and exchange. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain clear and accurate accounting records for all real estate properties, with emphasis on the headquarter office building Create tenant invoices and billing Process vendor payments (accounts payable) and collect cash receipts (accounts receivable) Assist with all real estate transactions including purchases, sales, leasing, and exchange. Oversee maintenance and repairs Calculate common area maintenance (CAM) adjustments Work collaboratively with real estate brokers to analyze and propose leasing deals and agreements with tenants and prospective tenants Prepare property tax filings for all properties, including manufacturing facilities. Coordinate and manage the process for property tax audits and appeals, including working with designated tax auditors and consultants Support all property insurance matters, including claims Perform fixed assets accounting Prepare financial models and analysis related to property management, insurance and finance Perform account reconciliation to ensure balances are correct. Responsible for month-end closing Function as the backup for Property and Insurance Manager Draft and present reports and proposals to senior staff and executive leadership Assist with other finance-related projects as directed Work collaboratively with other finance and accounting personnel. Qualifications for Property Accountant

Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 2 to 3 years accounting experience in property management or real estate. Previous experience in Rent Manager or other equivalent real estate software is strongly preferred. Highly level proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other analytical software tools. Strong critical thinking skills and understanding of basic accounting concepts (e.g. debits and credits) Strong competence in writing memos and emails clearly and on point Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Ability to quickly learn industry-related regulations quickly and utilize information in written reports Comfortable preparing, delivering reports to management, both in writing and verbally Seniority level
