Tax Agent
to join our team. There is always something new to learn and we encourage staff to attend industry classes to broaden their knowledge and earn certifications. As a
Tax Agent , you will enjoy competitive pay, excellent benefits and job stability in unstable times. We value our staff and their time. After approximately a six‑month training period, new employees may have an opportunity to work a rotating hybrid work schedule.
Every day is different in the tax office and your daily responsibilities will vary as a tax agent:
Focus on resolving customer inquiries by phone or in person to include researching accounts, accepting payments, establishing payment arrangements, or explaining tax laws
Processing payments received electronically or by mail, initiating collection actions on delinquent accounts, or updating records for business, real estate and individual property

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
One year of experience in property tax, public finance, or similar setting.
Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
Two years of experience in a professional business environment with heavy customer service
Two years of experience in a local or state government office performing duties directly related to those of a Tax Agent

Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make good decisions and apply sound reasoning to resolve issues in a pleasant and professional manner

Hiring Range: 25.79 - 30.08
Market Range: 25.79 - 34.37
